Java Development

As of 12/14/05, seven development efforts are under way:

• Evaluating cumulative distribution functions and their inverses
• Uniform and normal random number generation
• Interactive regressions
  • simple linear regression example (with residual plots)
  • example using the QR decomposition
  • nonlinear regression example
• Numerical linear algebra
• Optimization, zero-finding, and nonlinear least squares
• Quadrature (numerical integration)
• Java code to calculate exact confidence bounds on a normal distribution coefficient of variation
